In memoriam
Litchfield Cavo mourns the passing of our colleague and friend, Jairo Villanueva, who passed away in September 2026.
Jairo was a talented litigator who practiced in general liability, business litigation, trucking liability and medical professional liability. He brought extensive industry knowledge to his work, along with a thoughtful and strategic approach to working with clients.
Beyond his many professional accomplishments, Jairo will be remembered for his warmth, thoughtfulness and energetic spirit. He was known for his bright smile, genuine interest in others and willingness to engage in meaningful conversations, whether about philosophy, politics or life’s journey, always with kindness and a thoughtful perspective.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
- Defended corporation through bench trial in an open account and account stated lawsuit with a complete defense verdict.
- Represented an insurance carrier throughout a Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Examination with conclusory findings being in accordance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners guidelines.
- Represented an individual through bench trial in a diminution in value case, successfully collecting damages and costs as the prevailing party.
